A-10 Inlet/Engine Fan & Exhaust set (early) for the Hobbyboss kit

There hasn’t been an A-10 kit yet, that has come stock with accurate inlets, engine fans, or Exhaust.

SHM’s Engine Fan/Inlet & Exhaust set corrects the kit’s TF-34 Engine Fan, Inlet, and Exhausts. The kit fans are too shallow, inaccurate center cone/Fan Blade pitch, the wrong blade count and the inlet lip profile is off. The kit Exhaust too small, lacked proper rivet detail, and in the case of HB, no turbine!

SHM’s A-10 Inlet set features High Resolution printed Engine Fan and Stator frame. The Engine fan blade detail has been enhanced with open fan blades. The inlets are seamless with embedded blade track, corrected lip contour, and are the only resin cast parts in this set. The Exhaust nozzle have the proper rivet layout, dual nozzle TE liner and detailed turbine. Side links are provided for the 4 & 8 o’clock IB mounts. We address the Nacelle cavity with inserts. The inserts also provide a base for the side link mount. All parts are designed from the actual TF-34 and aircraft inlet, which makes for the most accurate A-10 set on the market.

We’re also one of the only AM companies to offer the option for both the early and late Engine fans. The S-3 Viking and A-10A were configured with the early Engine fan. It’s the center cone that’s different: Early has cylindrical bolt holes while the Late fan cone has the small triangular notches. See reference photos:

The A-10 late fan was the standard since the 80s; up until the S-3 Viking was retired in 2015. Their TF-34 engines were refurbished and/or parted back into the supply system. This is why the early fans are now more common on the A-10C. It’s typical to see the aircraft configured with both engine fan types.
