A-4 Top Aces Splinter Camouflage Paint masks set
Re-usable die-cut camo mask set
The set includes two sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.
A-4 Skyhawk
is a light subsonic jet designed in the 50s in the US. It was made by Douglas Aircraft Company and was a creation of Ed Heinemann. The Skyhawk was contemplated as a successor of Douglas A-1 Skyraider, however it became much more than that. A-4 was single-seat jet, capable of aircraft carrier operations, but two seat versions were also available. It served with US NAVY and Marines, but never with the USAF. A-4 was used by many foreign Air Forces, with some still using it today in limited numbers. Nearly 3000 were built from various modifications. Most of A-4’s fame comes from Vietnam War, Israeli Wars and the movie Top Gun.
A-4 Top Aces
is an A-4N version, option specifically made for Israeli Air Force. It was a derivative of A-4M. N-variant lacked self-starting capability, but featured improved HUD, Pratt & Whitney J52-P408 engine, two 30-mm cannons and advanced anti-missile defense system. Most prominent feature of the A-4N is the elongated nozzle, made to reduce heat signature of the airplane. 117 of A-4Ns were built and used extensively by the IDF. It is one of the most sophisticated variants of the Heinemann’s scooter and that was one of the reasons Top Aces picked this jet for the aggressor/adversary role it is used currently. The company also changed the livery of their A-4s, introducing digital camo scheme, as well as splinter camo scheme, latter available in this set.
