BRU-33 and BRU-55 Bomb Rack Unit are used by US Navy to carry two weapon units up to 1000 lbs. There is nor external difference between them. BRU-55 is designer to drop smart weapons, so it Has the “1760 cable” wiring for integration of weapon with aircraft targeting systems. GPS bombs JDAM and JSOW missiles are carried using BRU-55.
BRU-33/55 are used to arm F-18 aircraft.
