F-111F AN/AVQ-26 Pave Tack pod for the HobbyBoss kit
This is a highly detailed 3D-printed resin AN/AVQ-26 Pave Tack laser target designation pod (and associated cradle) designed to fit the Hobby Boss F-111 kit. The Pave Tack pod was the primary target designation pod used on USAF F-111F (and RAAF F-111C) fleet. The bomb bay doors, cradle, pod head and cover are modeled accurately and at a high detail level.
While Hobby Boss did not release an F-111F kit, their F-111 is generally accepted to be the best detailed kit in the market. The F-111E and F-111F are externally identical - we recommend the use of Hobby Boss F-111E kit along with an aftermarket F-111F cockpit (such as the one from Reskit) for your F-111F project. The Hobby Boss and Academy bomb bays are different in size and shape, and we provide no guarantee that this set can be made to work on the Academy kit.
This set does not come with any decals, however our recent F-111D/E/F stencilling set (CDB48017) includes markings to add detail to this pod. Your Pave Tack pod is printed with a protective cage and will be packed a clamshell plastic box, with instructions provided online in PDF format. Limited run of 60 sets only.
