The set includes two sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.

F-14 Super Tomcat

from AMK is considered as a state-of-the-art kit. It is often quoted as the very best 48th scale model ever produced, despite the serious competition that it faces in Tamiya’s releases. F-14 Tomcat became extremely famous after the release of Top Gun movie back in the 80s. Then on, it became the symbol of modern jet aviation and to this day it is praised as one of the most successful and versatile jets ever made. Tomcat was very fast, powerful, twin-seater with variable geometry. After its retirement and to this day, there is no fighter aircraft that could possibly fill the void that F-14 left in the Naval Aviation.

Canopy

and wheels paint mask set from DN Models covers the AMK releases and is specifically based on their F-14D Super Tomcat kit #88009. This set is not suitable for any other F-14 Tomcat/Super Tomcat release in 48th scale different from the AvantGarde Model Kits line. The mask set covers interior and exterior masks for the canopy, as well as masks for the wheels. The material allows for more than one application if carefully placed and removed. The vinyl is very flexible and permits adjusting the edges over the canopy, with precision. This feature is very important especially with AMK kits, because the framework of the canopy requires extra attention.
