F-15C Eagle
As the Vietnam War expanded, it became increasingly clear that the needs of the Navy and USAF could not be met with a single aircraft design. The USAF placed particular emphasis on extra strength and maneuverability in its need for air superiority fighters. After several proposals, the selected design entered service in 1978 was the F-15C Eagle. It has a pronounced record of 100 victories and 0 defeats in air combat.
