F-16A Falcon J-364 "Solo Display 1997-1998" Royal Netherlands Air Force
The Royal Netherlands Air Force was the first air force to paint its demontrator aircrafts specially. The first F-16 « Solo display » receiving a demo scheme took place late 80’s, it became the first of a long line of special solo F-16s ending on 2013.
- The F-16 Solo Display J-364, demonstrator 1997/1998, piloted by Captain Patrick "Spout" Tuit been the last F-16 receiving the traditional « Blue, white and red » colors of Netherlands.
When the following F-16 « demos » received schemes more « graphics »
- J-016 (2001/2004) (see Syhart 145)
- J-055 (2005/2008) (see Syhart 019)
- J-015 (2009/2013) (see Syhart 055)
Personally, this scheme is the first specially painted demo aircraft I remember over the airshow I visited, when I was 12 years old during the Kleine-Brogel airshow (B) on september 1998.- This set 1/48 consists of :
- 2 decals sheets (1 large + 1 medium)
- 1 A4 colored page of instructions (front / back)
- 1 set of masks to apply the white by paint instead of using decals.
