The F-16 Fighting Falcon, produced by the American company General Dynamics since the end of the 70s, is a real icon of military aviation. Originally developed to meet the US Air Force's needs for a modern and effective single-seat daytime air superiority fighter, the project has progressively evolved and created an all-weather multi-role fighter aircraft featuring extraordinary operational flexibility. The F-16 is characterized by an original design easily recognizable by the bubble canopy, which guarantees great visibility to the pilot. The F-16 also adopted innovative solutions such as the side stick, the "fly-by-wire" and modern avionics systems for flight and combat. Appreciated by pilots for its great maneuverability and reliability, it is armed with a 20mm M61 Vulcan cannon. Thanks to its numerous hardpoints, it can employ a varied offensive arsenal of missiles and bombs. The F-16 was used by numerous air forces around the world and performed a significant number of operational missions, often with great effectiveness.
