F-22 Raptor Camouflage + USAF stars paint masks set
Suggested kit: F-22A Raptor kits in 48th scale
Re-usable die-cut paint masks
USAF Stars Stencils are Included
The set includes two sheets of pre-cut masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semi-transparent for easy and accurate placing.
F-22 Raptor
is the first operational fifth generation fighter jet. It is made in USA by Lockheed-Martin Corporation and only 195 Raptors were ever produced. It is a twin-engine, single-seat stealth jet fighter, design to inherit and continue the absolute dominance of McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle in the skies. F-22 Raptor is used solely by US Air Force and was never exported, despite the numerous attempts from Japan, Israel and others to acquire it for their own Air Forces. The Raptor is famous for its trust vectoring, stealth capabilities and extreme maneuverability, all of which makes it the pinnacle of jet fighters produced thus far.
F-22 Raptor Camouflage
is a low-visibility paint scheme, similar to the ones used on later models of F-15As and F-15Cs. The Raptor features spots on the top side of the fighter jet and on the inner and outer side of the vertical stabilizers. This paint scheme has proven to be the most effective camouflage, even though on F-35 it is currently not used. The paint scheme of the F-22 is not its main camouflage feature. Its shape and materials, as well as its electronic counter-measures and squared nozzles are the core of being hardly detectable on the battlefield. However, the camouflage makes it even harder to be detected by the enemy, thanx to the shape, color and features of the spots.
