F-35B Lightning II Canopy, Wheels & EOTS paint masks set  for the Italeri kit

Interior and exterior included

The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.

F-35B

Lightning II is the 5th Generation Fighter Jet made by Lockheed Martin Corporation, designed to replace AV-8B Harrier as the main STOLV /short take off vertical landing/ plane in the US MARINES inventory. Alongside with them, UK, Italy, Japan and couple others customers will use the F-35B variants alongside with the F-35A variant. The STOVL option features limited G loads /up to 7/ and less fuel compared to the A model, however its other capabilities remain intact. F-35B has a very complex engine system and multiple doors deflecting the jet blast, which makes it one of the most sophisticated technological achievements in aviation so far.

DN Models’ set

is designed for Italeri’s 48th scale release /#2810/ and any eventual derivatives. The mask set features exterior and interior masks for the canopy, masks for the EOTS /electronic optical targeting system/ and masks for the wheels. Using this set with any other tooling is not recommended, since every manufacturer representation of the F-35B varies. At the time of the release of Italeri’s kit, it is the superior representation of the F-35B in quarter scale, comparable only with Kitty Hawk F-35B which is rather obsolete tooling. Italeri kits are often repacked by Tamiya and sometimes Revell, therefore various options of the tooling are expected in the near future.
