F/A-18C Hornet + M.S.406 + P-51 "100 years Swiss AF" 1914-2014
This decal set contains all markings to complete three aircrafts that participated at the airshow AIR14 for "100 years of the Swiss Air Force," which took place from August 30 to September 7, 2014 on Payerne airbase.
- F/A-18C Hornet J-5014 "100 years of the Swiss Air Force"
This F/A-18C Hornet was specially painted in "retro" version with the wings and tails tips painted red with white crosses. It flew in formation with each of the P-51D Mustang and M.S.406 (D-3801 "Morane") during the airshow (detailed below).
- P-51D Mustang J-901
This Mustang is an aircraft from private collection, it was repainted in the past Swiss colors for AIR14 airshow to fully mark the Century of Flight Swiss Air Force. It flew in formation with the Hornet J-5014 (detailed above).
- M.S.406 (D-3801 "Morane")
Like the Mustang above, the D-3801 (Swiss version of the M.S.406) is private private aircraft, it’s the only M.S.406 in flying condition in the world. It was also repainted the past Swiss colors for AIR14 airshow to fully mark the Century of Flight Swiss Air Force. It also flew in formation with the Hornet J-5014 (detailed above).
