GBU-16 (Mk.83 body) (1x pair - resin ) (no decals)

This kit consists of two very high resolution 3D printed resin parts and an A6 page of instructions for a pair of "GBU-16s".

- The GBU-16 are 500kg (1000 lb) laser-guided bombs.

  • Used on: Mirage 2000D, N, Rafale B/C/M, F-4, F-14, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, Tornado and others…
    • Usable in good weather on fixed or moving targets. The bomb is guided towards the designated target by a laser beam, "illuminated" by the plane dropping the bomb, or another plane, or by troops on the ground.

    The laser designators fitted to the Rafale are:

    Pod “Damocles”- (Available: Syhart A010 )
    Pod “Talios” (PDL NG)- (Available: Syhart A011 )
    AN/AAQ-33 “Sniper” Pod (export only)- (Coming soon)

    The Rafale (all versions) carry two GBU-16s , installed under the PU 708 pylons (available: Syhart A016 ) or up to four GBU-16s , installed under the triple AT730 pylons (available: Syhart A003 )

    The parts do not present any irregularity due to printing, the fins are thin but strong. The whole thing is protected in a “cage” allowing transport and storage without breakage, particularly of the fins.
