IJA/IJN Type 95 Ki-10-II "PERRY"
The prototype of the Type 95 Fighter, the last biplane fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army, was completed in March 1935, and mass production began at the end of the same year. At the same time, design of an improved model with an extended wingspan and fuselage began to improve aerial combat performance, and the military later adopted this as the Type 2. Production of the Type 2 began in June 1937, and it fought as the main force of the Army's fighter squadron during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Nomonhan Incident. Although it was only used for a short period of time, its performance was in no way inferior to foreign biplane fighters of the same period, and it is one of the masterpieces in the history of Japanese aircraft.
