IJN Type 96 Carrier Fighter Mitsubishi A5M4 'Claude' Soryu`s Air Group
Designed by Jiro Horikoshi, the Type 96 Carrier Fighter was the Imperial Japanese Navy's first all-metal low-wing monoplane. The Type 4 Carrier Fighter was the latest model and the one most produced. The Type 4 Carrier Fighter was deployed to the front lines from the Second Sino-Japanese War onwards, and was also deployed on various aircraft carriers. Among these, there were several aircraft with distinctive markings belonging to the aircraft squadron of the aircraft carrier Soryu.
