Ka-52 Alligator Canopy & Wheels paint masks set for the Zvezda kit

Interior and exterior included

The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.

Ka-52 Alligator

is a Russian reconnaissance and attack helicopter. It is made by Kamov design bureau and it is a direct derivative of their famous /initially Soviet made/ Ka-50 Black Shark. It is a highly upgraded version of the latter, featuring different appearance, multiple new systems as well as two-man crew, seated side-by-side in a glass cockpit. Currently, it is considered as the most sophisticated Russian attack helo in service. Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator” was used in Second Chechen War, Syrian Civil War, Russo-Ukrainian War and in some minor local conflicts, mostly for testing the platform. It is operated by Russian Air and Naval forces, Egypt and Macedonia, latter one still with pending delivery for some years. China is among its potential buyers, with a naval version of the Alligator tailored specifically for their needs. It is called Ka-52K Katran and it is planned to be build locally under license. Katran is to be an amphibious-ship based helicopter. As of the release of Zvezda kit, around 200 Ka-52 are made and in use.

The Mask set

from DN Models is designed using Zvezda kit #4830 – Kamov Ka-52 Alligator 1/48 attack helicopter. The masks are meant to be used only with Zvezda toolings and will not be suitable for anything but this specific kit or its direct eventual derivatives. The mask set features masks for the canopy and the wheels. For the clear parts, there is both interior and exterior masks, in case you decide to display your model with open cockpit or with some cutaway.
