Ka-52 Alligator Russian Attack Helicopter Camouflage paint masks set for the Zvezda (4830) & other Ka-52 kits

The set includes one sheet of masks (shown in the picture). The masks are made from thin masking tape, which is easy to be peeled off and doesn’t leave any stains. The tape is tested on clear and painted model too. If carefully removed after painting, they can be used over and over again. It is flexible and easily applied over curved surfaces. Semitransparent for easy and accurate placing.

Ka-52 Alligator

is a Russian reconnaissance and attack helicopter. Kamov design bureau made its first version in the 80s. It was called Ka-50 Black Shark. Ka-52 is a highly upgraded variant of the latter, featuring different appearance, multiple new systems & sensors as well as two-man crew and a glass cockpit. As of 2024, it is the backbone of Russian Helicopter aviation, alongside with Mi-28. Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator” was used extensively in numerous conflicts. Among those are Chechen War, Syrian War, Russo-Ukrainian War and other minor local hot zones. Currently, Alligator is operated by Russian Air and Naval forces as well as Egypt. China is among its potential buyers, with a naval version called Ka-52K Katran. The project is unusual and it is projected to be build in China under license. Katran is planned to be used from amphibious-ships. As of 2024, around 200 Ka-52 are made and in use, but exact number is not available, due to some losses in the Russo-Ukraine War.

The Mask set

from DN Models is designed using Zvezda kit #4830 – Kamov Ka-52 Alligator 1/48 attack helicopter. The mask set covers the typical modern Russian Air Force camouflage. Between the different helicopters, there are minor differences in the camo pattern, however, the basic outline remains the same. This camouflage mask set can be used with other toolings of Ka-52 Alligator, as long as they are fairly accurate. Zvezda kit, at the date of its appearance is considered the most accurate representation, therefore it is the suggested kit for this set to be used with.
