Avro Lancaster B Dambuster Mk.I
The Avro Lancaster B Mk.III Dambuster, famously used in Operation Chastise, was a specially modified RAF bomber that attacked the Mohne, Edersee, and Sorpe dams in Germany in May 1943 using the "bouncing bomb." Led by Wing Commander Guy Gibson of the 617 Squadron, this daring raid caused significant flooding and damage to German industry.
